Hurricane Preparedness
Good Neighbor recognizes the importance of hurricane preparedness in the Rio Grande Valley. With the hurricane season approaching, we have ensured that the homeless people of Brownsville will be provided with an essential, basic Disaster Supplies Kit. These include a radio, batteries, mosquito repellent, heat blanket, hygienic wipe, towel, poncho, and flashlights. We work closely with City of Brownsville officials to maintain our Hurricane Emergency Plan. For more resources, the American Red Cross can be contacted to locate hurricane shelters near the area.
